Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan, an actor as well as a board member of SSC since 2011 is the founding co-artistic director for the newly formed theatre company Speech of Fire. She served as Artistic director of Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 until 2019. In her role as the Artistic Director of SSC she also served as SSC's music director/composer and Text teacher. Although she usually led from within the ensemble of actors in her last year she started her journey as a director (and lighting designer) with the company's King Lear. Markie Post......................Markie Post is a noted American actress known for her roles as the public defender Christine Sullivan in NBC's sitcom Night Court the bail bondswoman Terri Michaels in ABC's drama series The Fall Guy and Georgie Anne Lahti Hartman in CBS's sitcom Hearts Afire. She's appeared on many other TV shows as well as acting. She is the daughter of scientist Richard F. Post and his poet wife Marylee Post was raised in Walnut Creek and Stanford alongside her twin siblings. She went to Las Lomas High School where she participated in cheerleading. She was a student at Pomona College for a short period of time, and later graduated in Lewis & Clark College, both of which are located in Oregon. Post was previously married to Stephen Knox. She has two daughters with actor/writer Michael A. Ross, who she got married to in 1982. Post is a great actress as well as a wonderful wife and mother she is an inspiration to numerous Hollywood stars.
