Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of young heartache achieved widespread recognition in the beginning of the 21st century. Swift showed an interest in the arts at a very young age and she progressed quickly through roles in the children's theater until her first performance before a crowd of thousands. When she was 11 years old, she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. next year, she picked up the guitar and started writing songs. Swift became inspired to compose her own songs by country music artists category, like Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift was only thirteen when her parents made the decision to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm to relocate to Hendersonville Tennessee. She could then devote all of her energy to approaching country labels located in Nashville.
